Anyone working on an exciting IT project as part of their studies or privately was able to find out more at an information stand from February 6, 2017. Microsoft Imagine Cup for detailed information. The Imagine Cup is a developer competition in which pupils and students can win prizes of up to 100,000 US dollars.

Microsoft Imagine Cup

The national and later international Imagine Cup is back - this time in its 15th edition! Under the slogan Code.FTW! you can win great prizes with your own project.

Incredible, world-changing software innovations often come from students. Social networks, music services, photo apps, games, gadgets and robotics - the list goes on. We're looking for the next big thing and we know students like you are going to make it. Imagine Cup, Microsoft's premier international competition for young developers, is your chance to show off your biggest, boldest software solution. code.FTW! and show the world what you've got.

The competition is initially held locally and organized by the Microsoft branches in the respective countries - in our case, Germany. The national final will take place on April 6 and 7. The best teams then compete in a new round and take part in the global finals. This will take place from July 24 to 28 in Seattle (USA). The trip to the final will be sponsored for all teams that have been invited.

Participation and general conditions

Would you like to take part in the Microsoft Imagine Cup? Then you can register on this page. The registration deadline is March 05, 2017.

You must submit either a new or an existing project. Microsoft Azure, Microsoft's cloud computing platform, must be a mandatory component of the project. Otherwise, the choice of technologies is up to you. The team with which you enter the competition may consist of a maximum of three participants. Furthermore, you or all team members must be over the age of 16.
