Review: Empower Your Studies With PowerApps on February 15, 2019

On February 15, 2019, innovators, creative minds and interested parties met at the University of Applied Sciences of Economics (FHDW) in Bergisch Gladbach for the event Empower Your Studies With PowerApps. After an initial introduction to the topics of "PowerApps", "Flow" and "artificial intelligence" by Marek Matuszewski and myself, the Participants formed teams to build innovative business cases using Microsoft technologies. From innovative concepts for ordering and preparing drinks in bars to the interaction of apple varieties and matching recipes to the automatic evaluation of lectures for students, everything was included. The team won with the idea of revolutionizing the desired location (deposit location) of a parcel.

Review

The entire event was characterized by an atmosphere that encouraged people to get going - and that's exactly what happened: Eight teams concentrated on innovative, funny and novel business ideas under the influence of a drinks and pizza flat rate and not only used Microsoft PowerAppsbut also related services such as Microsoft Flow and Microsoft Cognitive Services.
